We implemented our first STEAMLab this year at Evergreen Elementary School. One of my fondest memories occurred during our back to school ice cream social. At the social, families come and meet their child's teacher, see the new room and visit the STEAMLab. So much JOY from the children! They gasped when they saw the new space. Dancing and giggling erupted as they moved from one resource to the next.

In March, we hosted a STEM Night that drew over five hundred participants. The SMARTLab was one of 20 spaces families could visit. Students played hot hands with their parents using the Vernier Probes, showed folks Tinkercad, demonstrated programs they wrote using their EV3s while a slide show of student projects played.
